After recently creating a video for Pringle of Scotland, photographer Ryan McGinley has moved on to the next project in his young directing career. “Lightness Of Being An Olympian” is a video he directed for the New York Times about the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In it, you can see some nice visuals and the characteristic color work that McGinley is famous for in some of his photography.
Of course, the project also allowed him to document some of the action in a pretty incredible photo essay. He is no stranger to photographing Olympians either, having taken some classic shots of 2004 swimmers. More images after the jump and more at the New York Times.
