We’re big fans of the folk-art inspired work of Timothy Karpinski here at AM, and the mixed media artist and paper-cut technician will be showing off his skills with some new wares at a new solo show opening this evening in Seattle at Flatcolor Gallery. “This Feels Right” seems an apt title for the exhibition as Karpinski is one of the free-thinking co-owners of the Together Gallery in Portland, one of the great creative led community-vibe driven galleries out in that region. There will be a site-specific installation, 15 new paintings and as well as a limited edition print release all shown at the exhibition. From what we see, Tim’s work is looking even more intensely layered this time around, giving a unique 3 dimensional appearance to his mixed media sculptural paintings.
