AM stopped by briefly at New Image Art out on Santa Monica Blvd amidst a busy art weekend to check out the Anthony Lister (interviewed) show.Â Lister was in town last week to open his new LA solo show, “And Then The Wind Changed” featuring medium and large paintings as well as some installations. The London Police opened a huge show last week in Los Angeles at the Carmichael Gallery located out on La Brea. The art lovers of LA came out in strong numbers to support the show and to catch the premiere of the Ashton Kutcher produced “Brothers In Arms” short film (teased)Â that chronicled 5 days of the TLP being handcuffed together during the final touches of their show. Los Angeles based fine artist Mike Stilkey will be having a solo exhibition at David B. Smith Gallery in Denver, CO, this coming Friday, September 18th, from 7-10pm with Stilkey in attendance at the opening reception. This is Stilkey’s first solo show with this gallery and the artist will have 20 new pieces, including book sculptures and paintings, and he will also be creating an impressive on-site installation.
