Based on the successful turnouts at both the London’s Phillips de Pury and New York’s Deitch Projects release parties the past few weeks, it’s safe to say that Gestalten’s “Beyond the Street: The 100 Leading Figures in Urban Art” by Patrick Nguyen and Stuart Mackenzie was very well received. Now we’re sure some of those that have picked up the book may have wondered why a few urban art cornerstone’s were not included? But after talking with one of the book’s Authors, some obvious artists (Ahem… Banksy, Barry McGee, and a few […]

Ever the diligent perfectionist, Greg works to push his technical skills a little bit further each time we see his work. As we […]

Taking time out of his marathon work sessions, he gave us a sneak preview into his coming show “Familiar Strangers” (teased) at LeBasse Projects which opens June 12th. The show is comprised of not only his signature “east meets west” brand of technique and imagery, but marks the expansion of Yoskay’s work into ceramics and clay modeling. Teasers: Skullphone – “Digital Media” @ Subliminal Projects

LA based street artist Skullphone is coming back to home to show at Subliminal Projects on June 5th. Known well for jacking and flipping billboards in the streets we look forward to Skullphone doing some street runs in anticipation for this event. Maybe we’ll see something similar to our favorite “Skully” projects in which the street artist hacked into an electronic billboard and reprogrammed it to display his infamous skull and cell phone image. Check out more after the jump.

As you can see, the unique freight container carried some beautiful treasures inside. See more Nara in Hong Kong after the jump.

That was the scene as AM attended the last public event at the legendary Deitch Projects and as expected, it was a blast! Set to the background of Shepard Fairey’s intense “May Day” exhibition, the book launch for Gestalten’s “Beyond the Street: The 100 Leading Figures in Urban Art”, by Patrick Nguyen and Stuart Mackenzie, drew a veritable […]
