Kenwood Vineyards’ Shepard Fairey wine

AM is crazy about art, but we also appreciate many of the other finer things in life. However, sometimes our art obsession leaves little time to think about anything else. That’s why we were happy to see that California’s Kenwood Vineyards has come up with a way to simultaneously enjoy urban art and wine that is much better than the previous method of drinking “Mad Dog” on the streets of Williamsburg. For the 30th installment of their artist series, Kenwood has collaborated with Shepard Fairey […]

Releases: REAS and KAWS

If you are like AM, you missed out on today’s Banksy drop. But don’t despair, because there are plenty of other new artist releases out there. Get the info, after the jump.

Kaws x Kanye West

Artists collaborating on album covers is not a new phenomenom, but here is an interesting one from Kanye West that was done by Kaws. This one apparently is only for the iTunes release.  If this is true, then the only place you would see the album cover would be in your Ipod or music players.  Shows what a powerhouse iTunes and downloads have become if money is spent exclusively for the online release.  Not sure why Kanye wouldn’t use the same cover for the hard […]

Damien Hirst Skulls

Damien Hirst will be releasing spin-painted skull sculptures “Hallucinatory Heads” through Other Criteria. These will retail for £50,000 and will be limited to an edition of 50.  More photos after the jump.

Ron English Abraham Obama Bust

Got an email this morning from Mindstyle about the release of Ron English’s Abraham Obama Bust. Along with Shepard Fairey’s work, the Obama x Abraham Lincoln remix by English would probably be one of the top two most iconic Obama images out there. There will be multiple colorways released with each one limited to 50. More info after the jump.

Clayton Brothers’ special limited edition decks

Brilliant artists The Clayton Brothers recently collaborated as guest designers with Mark Gonzalez’s Krooked Skateboards to produce a limited edition set of two skateboards, entitled Any Given Night. And while the limited edition decks are on sale at various skate shops, The Clayton Brothers reserved 25 of each deck to customize as unique pieces. These special limited edition sets include both boards, each individually signed and hand-stenciled, as well as custom wall-mounting bracket, mounting hardware and a certificate of authenticity. They’re available here now for […]

Dzama print @ Editions|Artists’ Book Fair

The 2008 Editions|Artists’ Book Fair will be held in NYC on Friday, October 31 through Sunday, November 2, and will include 63 exhibitors of fine art prints, multiples and artists’ books from around the world. Admission to the fair is free, which is great given the world’s current economy. And even those collectors who have tightened their pursestrings may feel the urge to loosen them up when they see the very affordable ($175), Halloween-themed limited edition print Canadian art star Marcel Dzama created specifically for […]

4 Foot Black Companion // KAWS

KAWS heads everywhere are on high alert after this image popped up on the Original Fake website usually signaling an imminent release (although rumors point to a xmas drop).  Presumably the last colorway (black) after previous releases of the original and grey figures, this might be your last chance to own a 4 footer at retail.  This will probably be very hard to obtain unless he increases the run size.  The last figure was rumored to be limited to around 50 with less than 20 […]

Shithead // Luke Chueh

Fully Visual, maker of metal figures in the vinyl dominated world of art toys, has carved out a niche for themselves. After successfully producing fine hand-cast metal figures for the likes of Kozik, Joe Ledbetter, Tim Biskup, and Gary Baseman, they will be releasing “Shithead” – based on the work of Luke Chueh. On October 21st (11 AM PST), 100 pieces will be made available, with one being the chase (gold piece). More after the jump.

Baby Tattooville: Thomas Han

One of the most frequently asked questions about Baby Tattooville is “what do we get out of it?”  As our readers, you all have seen our coverage of some of this “loot” already, but over the next several weeks, AM will try to answer this question in more detail. The enigmatic Thomas Han turned out to be one of the surprise guests that showed up at the event this year and he did not come empty-handed. He along with Munky King (one of the sponsors) […]
