Jeff Soto for Empellón Taqueria (New York)

Earlier this month, Jeff Soto (interviewed) painted (with the assistance of his brother and sister-in-law) an impressive two-wall mural at Empellón in New York. Showing: “City Lights” @ Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art

Although the opening was delayed due to the terrible recent events in Brussels, City Lights at the newly formed Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art ended up kicking off successfully earlier this month. Upcoming: Tom Sach – “Boombox Retrospective, 1999–2016” @ Brooklyn Museum

Tomorrow night (April 21st) in New York, Tom Sachs will be sharing his collection of bricolage sculptural pieces inspired by the iconic boomboxes of the 70s and 80s (also see SXSW ’15). Boombox Retrospective, 1999–2016 at the Brooklyn Museum features eighteen works that illustrate the sculptor’s ability to recreate everyday objects with re-purposed materials.
