Last night, Jonathan Levine hosted an exclusive friends and family viewing of James Jean’s Kindling. Openings: Ron English/Alex Pardee @ Fifty24SF

Ron English’s “Mythographic Vicissitudes” (previewed) and Alex Pardee’s “Letters From Digested Children” opened last night at Fifty24SF. English reinterpreted some “myths” with this body of work showing off his skills by utilizing different styles of painting.  Alex Pardee took on the serious topic of missing children by creating a body of work showing children who are eaten by monsters. Dalek @ Redux Contemporay

A site-specific installation by Dalek is scheduled to open to the public on January 23rd (6-10pm) at the Redux Contemporary Art Center with Dalek in attendance. We wonder if his “space monkeys” will be making an appearance although they have been seen less and less in his work.
