On October 28th, Andenken Gallery in partnership with Makerversity Amsterdam, is proud to present two tandem solo exhibitions from two American artists in the Dutch capital. Returning to Amsterdam, Evan Hecox will be showing Northern while Drew Leshko will be presenting Heaven Is Whenever, his debut show in Amsterdam and even Europe. Nike recently released their collaboration with Romon Kimin Yang (Rostarr) featuring his calligraphy-inspired imagery on a selection of running footwear and apparel. While working with the company on the design of the collection, the New York-based artist was inspired by run crew culture and marathons leading him to embed abstract runners into his pattern of brushstrokes. Mark Jenkins’ solo show Knock Knock is currently on view at Ruttkowski;68 in Cologne, Germany. His third exhibition with the gallery includes around 15 new sculptural pieces in the style that he has been creating for the past 13 years. As we previously mentioned, on October 20th, a major survey of the work of KAWS will be opening at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, following up on his 2011 show at the same institution (covered). Organized by The Modern’s curator Andrea Karnes in close collaboration with the artist, the exhibition and the accompanying catalogue explore the development of the artist’s career from the 1990s to the present. Anarchic Adjustment, a fashion clothing company originally founded in London and then popularized in San Francisco, is celebrating their 30 year anniversary revival at the Seventh Letter Gallery in Los Angeles. Entitled The Future Is Not What It Used To Be, the exhibition will be featuring mainly sculptural works dealing with the “uncompromising satire of mass distraction, narcissism and the hidden machine.” For those interested, the show opens on October 20th.

Those who follow Damien Hirst may remember the Myth & Legend sculptures that he had on display at Chatsworth House grounds in the UK in 2013 (covered).
