Previews: Heiko Müller – “Glades” @ Feinkunst Krüger

On September 6th, Feinkunst Krüger will be opening an exhibition from Heiko Müller, his first solo with the Hamburg gallery since he started showing with them in 2003. Glades will feature the German artist’s nature-infused paintings, a byproduct his inspiration for art always originating from his times spent in the mountains and forests. Of course, there is a surreal aspect to his work as well, sourced from the times where he experiences uncanny or eerie feelings in the outdoors – like jogging through the woods at dusk. […]

Previews: Yoskay Yamamoto – “rainy day with a chance of sun” @ Hellion Gallery

On October 2nd, the Hellion Gallery in Portland will be presenting new works from Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed) tentatively entitled rainy day with a chance of sun. Like his recent showing in Los Angeles (covered), the new whimsical body of work will consist of paintings, clusters of smaller works, and his hand-crafted wooden sculptures.
