Releases: Dabs Myla – “Paper Studies”

The duo have been in the holiday spirit recently with their completed installation at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Previews: Casey Weldon – “Catharsis” @ Spoke Art (New York)

On November 30th, Spoke Art in New York will be hosting the opening for Casey Weldon’s (featured) solo show. Previews: Ben Tolman – “New Drawings” @ Galerie LJ

On December 7th, Ben Tolman will be unveiling some of his latest works at Galerie LJ in Paris. The solo show will highlight the American artists hyper-detailed ink drawings that depict the density of urban sprawl with surreal elements mixed, sometimes with impossible architectural constructs (à la M.C. Releases: Mark Ryden – “Snow Yak Ornament”

Tomorrow (November 20), Mark Ryden (interviewed) will be releasing something that might come in handy when you start setting up your Christmas tree. The Snow Yak Ornament was created with 3D printing and is a sculptural reproduction of one his most recognizable characters. Releases: Scott Listfield – “Voltron” Prints

Painter Scott Listfield has released a series of prints based on five of his paintings that were recently shown at Rotofugi Gallery in Chicago. The body of work on display was created with the venue in mind as the space is also associated with a specialty toy store – which brings us back to these five prints. Releases: James Jean – “Max Pipe” Print

James Jean (interviewed) will be releasing another signed and numbered time-limited print on November 14th, starting at 8 AM PST and ending after 24 hours. Entitled Max Pipe, the image is inspired by the painting Attirement of the Bride (La Toilette de la mariée) by Max Ernst. The enhancements (foil stamping, holographic foil, embossments) and dies required for this edition makes it one of Jean’s most complex offerings to date. Upcoming: “Gilded Horizons” @ KP Projects

This Saturday, November 11th, KP Projects in Los Angeles will be opening a new group show entitled Gilded Horizons. Included in the exhibition are Johnny “KMNDZ” Rodriguez, JP Naeng, Jean-Pierre Arboleda, Melany Meza-Dierks, and Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed), who contributed the stunning new geisha painting seen above among other works.
