After a couple of quiet months, Inti recently painted a new large piece in Marseille. La Madre Secular (The Secular Mother) was painted at the crowded Marche aux Puces commercial center in collaboration with the Galerie Saint Laurent as a part of their Street Art show. As per usual with the elusive British art superstar, a new piece by Banksy was discovered out of nowhere at Bridge Farm Primary School in Bristol this morning. The work was done as a thank you gift to the children that named one of the houses after him. A few weeks ago, the school ran a competition to change house names, and ended up deciding to name them after Bristol legends. It looks like Josh Keyes (interviewed) is getting ready to make available a print version of his Goliath painting, last seen at Banksy’s Dismaland. Release through Thinkspace, some of the proceeds from the new limited edition will go to benefit Born Free USA, a national animal advocacy nonprofit. Last month, KP Projects // MKG in West Hollywood hosted the opening for the latest solo from Greg “Craola” Simkins (featured). Entitled Beyond Shadows, the new pieces continue the locally-based artist’s surreal explorations of hybrid creatures rendered in a vivid palette. Painted with the support of Sky Art Foundation and Mural Social Club, this latest mural from Aaron Li-Hill (interviewed) is entitled The Impact Of Discovery. Featuring some of the American artist’s signature motion-inspired imagery, the piece put up on the side of the Cultural Center of Ukraine’s largest science and technical school (Kiev Polytechnical Institute) celebrates two major discoveries within the last two centuries. Today at 10 am (PST), Thinkspace will be releasing a new box set in their online shop from Sainer (one half of the Etam Cru) referencing their exhibition at the gallery last year (covered). On Monday, June 6th at 6PM CEST (12PM EDT), Escif will be releasing a new limited edtion via Elsewhere.es. Last month, Felipe Pantone visited Paris in order to create his contribution to the ongoing Lasco Project curated by Hugo Vitrani for Palais De Tokyo. Following the work from Stelios Faitakis, Olivier Kosta-Théfaine, Philippe Baudelocque, JR and Os Gemeos for the project, the prolific Argentinian-born artist and his team painted an impressive installation in the tunnel of the A86 Duplex, between Rueil-Malmaison in Vélizy, west of Paris.
