Haroshi For HUF (Los Angeles)

A couple weeks back, we finally had time to stop by HUF on Fairfax in Los Angeles to check out Haroshi’s larger than life middle finger. The irreverent sculpt is something the Japanese artist know for his pieces created from compressed used skateboards, but this time also there are limited edition vinyl versions of the middle finger for sale as well. Upcoming: Joram Roukes – “American Ornithology” @ Thinkspace Gallery

After a successful showing at Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles last year (covered), Joram Roukes will be returning for another solo on October 10th. Entitled American Ornithology, the new body of work from the Dutch artist will no doubt highlight his surrealist artistic vision, oftentimes featuring striking scenes played out by his hybrid characters. Streets: Invader (Paris) – Summer 2015

After an update in July, on top of that now a recap what Invader has been up in his home city of Paris during the summer months. NuArt ’15 / Streets: Ella & Pitr – “Lilith & Olaf”

One of the highlights of this year’s NuArt Festival is the completion of what is billed as the world’s largest outdoor mural in Klepp, just outside of Stavanger. Created by French artists Ella & Pitr along with a crew of some 30 volunteers, the 21,000 square meter mural was completed before the festival officially started. As part of the 2015 NuArt Festival, Canadian painter Sandra Chevrier (interviewed) created the inaugural mural for The Aftenblad Wall in Stavanger, Norway. Festival 2015. After seeing Pryce Lee unveil a diverse body of work in Italy earlier this year (covered), we look in anticipation at his upcoming exhibition Ceasefire at The Garage. Situated in a 17th century carriage house in the canals of Amsterdam, the gallery will kick off their their new season of shows, “The Salon Sessions,” with new pieces from the UK-based artist including his iconic mirror-based works.
