Releases: D*Face – “Beethoven Bust”

D*Face (interviewed) has been working on a new vinyl toy recently that takes the face of Beethoven and remixes it with his distinctive imagery. The subverted image of the famous musician and composer features the British artist’s famous wings and will retail for about $400 come June through the Japanese toy company Medicom. Upcoming: Herakut – “Masters Of Wrong” @ Corey Helford Gallery

Looking forward to next month, German duo Herakut are opening a solo show at Corey Helford Gallery entitled Masters Of Wrong. Combining beautifully the raw and abstract forms of Hera (interviewed) with the photorealistic spray paint skills from Akut, the new work of course mirrors their thought-provoking imagery from the streets. On February 19th, Chandran Gallery in San Francisco will be presenting Witch-Wife, a two person show from Swoon (interviewed)  and long time collaborator Monica Canilao. The title of the show refers to a woman who practices witchcraft as well as is a nod to the longstanding artistic relationship between the duo. For the third consecutive year, St+art Festival in Delhi, India, showed its strength as a collaborative platform for street artists from India and around the world. We’ve seen Pejac paint large indoor murals, small street pieces, window drawings, install sculptural works in public, create visual illusions on facades and walls, but we never seen him turn his paintings into reality.
