Kenny Scharf Car “Tags”

It looks like Kenny Scharf (interviewed), who recently showed in New York (covered), has been painting on fans’ cars recently. What started off several weeks ago in the Big Apple has progressed to the West Coast where he has been filling requests in Los Angeles. If you are interested in joining in on the fun and getting the NY legend’s distinctive characters in what he calls “tagged” on your car, try and reach out to him on Instagram. José Parlá Mural at the Hunt Library (North Carolina)

After opening his collaborative show (covered) a couple months ago in New York with JR, José Parlá headed off on his own to complete a personal project. Conceived of over five years ago, the new piece in the James B. Hunt Library will greet students at the North Carolina State University as they strive for higher learning. Entitled Nature of Language, the mural features the NY-based artist’s signature urban calligraphy. Discuss Jose Parla here.

Streets: Interesni Kazki in Vodnjan, Croatia

Ukrainian muralists Waone and AEC, known as Interesni Kazki, recently finished another mural in an old town of Vodnjan, Croatia, for the Boombarstick Festival. AEC already created a mural couple of months ago over there, as an opening piece for the upcoming festival. Openings: Pose & Revok – “Uphill Both Ways” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

MSK members Pose and Revok (pictured above with gallerist Levine) recently visited New York City and immediately made their mark by being the current artists to work on the highly visible Bowery & Houston Mural (here & here). They also came into town to premiere respective new bodies of work at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Preview: MOMO show in Grottaglie, Italy

Tonight in Grottaglie, Italy, Momo will be putting on a new solo exhibition with the people behind the annual Fame Festival. After tooling around the Cuba & Jamaica, painting in the streets with his geometrically-inclined imagery, he will be returning to Southern Italy with some new pieces inspired by his travels. The festivities start at 7 pm at Bottega Papocchia in the Quartiere Delle Ceramiche. Discuss Momo here.

Showing: Eine – “Innocence” @ CHG Circa

This week will be the final days left for fans in Los Angeles of Eine to check out his solo show at CHG Circa. Entitled Innocence, the body of work assembled from the London-based letter specialist features the alphabet that has made him famous mixed in with some imagery that looks to be dealing with ideas of censorship and the ever growing prevalence of CCTV monitoring. Streets: Bast x Marc Jacobs – Milan

Prior to his Hampton’s SEAFOAM exhibtiion with Eric Firestone Gallery, Brooklyn-based artist Bäst visited Milan for a little bit of work with fashion heavyweight and icon Marc Jacobs. A long-time collaborator with the NYC fashion maven, Bäst trekked Italy to spread his own version of American street art across arguable one of the most notable fashion-forward cities in the world. Bäst then went outside-in to install a beautiful mural in the Marc Jacobs showroom.
