Streets: Dabs Myla 2013 Euro Summer Tour

Australian artistic couple, Dabs Myla, recently left their LA home/studio to spend couple of weeks traveling and painting around Europe. By creating poppy, very colorful, clean line wall murals, often topped with cute, cartoonish like characters that are their signature elements, the artists left their marks on walls all over the old continent. Preview: Phil Frost – “The Solace of the Sword” @ Ace Gallery

Streets: Liqen – “Mandarina Chicharra” (London)

While in UK earlier this month, the Spanish-born Liqen painted a vibrant mural, Mandarina Chicharra, in South London in the Dulwich area. Covering the wall in the courtyard of a local school with his surreal imagery, the children will either be inspired by this hybrid orange and insect creature, or have bad dreams. Videos: RETNA for MOCAtv

MOCAtv recently released a new video featuring the Los Angeles-based RETNA (featured) spanning several projects put together in conjunction with the museum. The footage includes an interview with the graffiti artist as he talked about his two recent murals, The Falcon Before and After – 2013 and Para Mi Gente, Los Pintores de Nuestra Alma, painted at the Grand Ave Location for their 2013 Gala. Also discussed was his work with the Louis Vuitton Young Arts Program (see RETNA’s other collaborations with the fashion line here and here). Discuss RETNA here.

Streets: Sam3 (Spain)

Sam3 has been busy recently along the Mediterranean coastline of Spain in Costa Blanca working on some murals featuring his signature shadow figures. Along with the stunning piece with political commentary that refers to expulsion of the Moors in the Ricote Valley in the sixteenth century, painted on a rock face (seen above), there was also the silhouette of a man in a boat with pretty sweet placement taking advantage of the natural elements of the wall (seen below). Releases: Os Gemeos for Hennessy

Following in the footsteps of KAWS & Futura, the Brazilian artistic duo Os Gemeos have been chosen to design the next limited edition Hennessy V.S. bottle. Judging from previous releases, fans of the twins should not have a hard time getting ahold of one of these for their collections as past iterations were released in high numbers.
