Streets: Nychos (Melbourne)

Recently in Melbourne, Nychos got up big with a new mural on Easey Street in Collingwood entitled Anatomy of a Kangaroo and painted in his signature dissected style. Making good use of his time, the Austrian artist will also be opening a show on March 10th at Juddy Roller entitled Monochrome Organism as well as unveiling a sculpture project, The Dissection of Sigmund Freud. Hendrik Beikirch will be opening solo show Treasures on the 18th of March at Galerie Droste Wuppertal in Wuppertal, Germany. Releases: KAWS x Air Jordan 4

Sporting a cool grey color reminiscent of his iconic vinyl figures, the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 is set for release later this month. Featuring graphic detailing from the Brooklyn-based artist and his famous double x’s on the heel tab as well as a glow in the dark outsole. Releases: El Mac – “Cry Now” & “Amor y Arte” Prints

Later today (March 2nd) at 8 am PST, El Mac will be releasing two prints concurrently – Cry Now & Amor y Arte. The first features a mustached clown with tears streaming down his face (16″ x 22″ image size, 20″ x 26″ paper size), which will be produced in an edition of 88 while the second one with the same measurements features a ribbon with the words “Amor – Arte” and four roses surrounding a red heart which will made available in a run of 90. Recap: Urban Nation’s “Secret Dinner” Event

On the 22nd of February, Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art in Berlin hosted a Secret Dinner event for friends, supporters, contributors and artists participating in their ongoing programs. Around 100 guests from around the globe attended the event organized by the museum director Yasha Young and Berliner Leben, a non-profit foundation that initiated the UN project in 2013. After a recent successful collaboration with KAWS, Uniqlo has teamed up with another artist and his iconic imagery for their UT line – Futura. The released images feature many of the renowned graffiti artist’s signature touches emblazoned on t-shirts like his atoms, pointmen, textured background, script.
