Last week, MOHS Exhibit in Copenhagen presented all new work from Dennis McNett (featured) collectively entitled Wolfbats Are Real. After sharing some of the setup, we now have some fully realized opening photos for you as well below… Photo credit: Henrik Haven. Discuss Dennis McNett here.

Preview: Aakash Nihalani – “ISLANDS” @ Signal

After a recent solo at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery (covered), New York will be getting another dose of Aakash Nihalani’s work this weekend at Signal. On Friday night (April 26th), the Brooklyn space will play host to ISLANDS, an exhibition of new site-specific geometric installations from Nihalani. It has been interesting to see the NY-based street artist make a transition to indoor work and this newest project will be no different with him employing techniques of contrast and forced perspective to convey virtual depth or movement. Discuss Aakash Nihalani here.

Tonight in Copenhagen, Dennis McNett (featured) opened his latest solo show at MOHS Exhibit entitled Wolfbats Are Real. Spanish muralist and artist, Aryz, has been busy setting up his first US solo, Style Is The Limit at Fifty24SF in San Francisco. The artist spent the entire last week installing the show, painting the gallery space, hand-picking the frames and hanging his work, and we have some sneak preview snaps of what the visitors will see. The show is opening this Friday, 19th of April, and is mostly featuring studies of his larger scale works, a wooden sculpture, and at least two big scale paintings […]

They also revealed other boxes created with artists like The London Police and Dave Flores as well as a massive mural detailing the locations of The […]

Les Bains Douches artistic residency (Paris)

Paris is a city full of mysterious places. A year after the Mausolee project was revealed (covered here), the mythical Bains Douches, cradle of the Parisian night life, has been transformed in an ephemeral artistic residency curated by Magda Danyz. Closed since 2010, the site is due to be demolished on April, 30 2013. For the past four months, graffiti artists and others have been invited to perform and reinvent the 3000 square meters. Due to safety reasons, it can not be open to the public but luckily AM has been […]

Giveaways: TrustoCorp x OBEY Cereal (Los Angeles)

Our friends at TrustoCorp are back to their old tricks again. Known for their street interventions and “reverse shoplifting” (here & here), the collective is once again visiting stores and placing their products into the natural shopping environment. But, this time they’ve enlisted some help from some other artists. First up is a collaboration with Shepard Fairey where the new flavor of Trusto Cereal is the “OBEY” flavor – which combines their own signature tongue-and-cheek artwork with Shep’s classic Andre The Giant imagery. Expect little touches […]
