Camilla d’Errico Coastal.com Eyewear Collection

Coastal.com recently released an eyewear collection that Camilla d’Errico designed with Derek Cardigan. The four frames all feature tiny slivers of some of the Vancouver-based artist’s manga-influence imagery, specifically her paintings Xiomara, Water Wheel, Neo New York, and Loveless Bird (two minimalist palettes & two with vibrant and saturated colors). Upcoming: Erin M. Riley – “18/bi/f/ma” @ Brilliant Champion

On July 1st, Brilliant Champion in Brooklyn will be presenting a collection of new tapestries from Erin M. Riley (interviewed), including some of her largest to date (up to as large as 8 x 8 feet). Recap: Rose Beton Festival (Toulouse)

Curated by Tilt, the second edition of the Rose Beton Festival in Toulouse (FR) paid tribute to the graffiti scene. The festival kicked off with an exhibition at Chateau d’Eau featuring the iconic photographs by Martha Cooper  & Henry Chalfont (interviewed) as well as emerging photographer Sylvain Fargot. The Musee des Abattoirs is then taken over with installations by Boris Tellegen (covered), Mist, and Craig Costello while Tilt brought back his Voyage Retour car installation that he created during his recent residency at Jardin Rouge in Marrakech. Tomorrow night (June 25th) in Los Angeles, Thinkspace will be opening a joint show from Jim Houser (work seen above) & Jeremy Fish. Both the Philly-based Houser and SF-based Fish have iconic aesthetics and became the artists they are through their love for drawing, music, and skate culture. On Saturday night (June 25th), Josh Keyes (interviewed) will be opening a joint show with Eva Funderburgh entitled Overgrown at Archimedes Gallery in Cannon Beach. For fans of his work, the title immediately makes sense and the first few paintings that have been revealed certainly play on this theme. Openings: Futura – “NEW HORIZONS” @ Library Street Collective

Last weekend, Library Street Collective in Detroit hosting the opening for Futura latest solo show entitled NEW HORIZONS. Along with all new paintings that features some of the graffiti legend’s signature abstract color studies with gyroscopic structures as well as his old school pointman characters, new large-scale pieces were prepared for the outdoor space in BELT Alley for the PUBLIC MATTER series of works. The Centro de Arte Contemporáneo of Málaga recently opened Miss Van‘s first show at a museum.
