Releases: Luke Chueh – “Bat Bear” Figure

After teasing us with a work-in-progress sculpt last year that will bring to life his Bat Bear painting in a three-dimensional form, it looks like Luke Chueh (interviewed) is set to release his latest art toy soon. Showing: DMV @ Villa Alliv (Marseille)

After a two week residency at Villa Alliv, JAW, BLO and KAN of the Da Mental Vaporz crew (DMV) are showing their collaborative artworks. The three artists have invaded the space with canvasses as well extending their imagery to the walls and ceilings, blending their own distinctive style from abstract and impulsive to pointillism and precision with the results being  vibrant and energetic compositions. Openings: Peter Ferguson – “Lifeboats of a Sinking Witch” @ Roq La Rue

For several years now, Peter Ferguson has left his his Canadian homeland to deliver a sold out, or nearly sold out show to the Roq La Rue Gallery.  2016 is no exception and Lifeboats of a Sinking Witch is another journey to the illustrator’s fantastic world. Seemingly painted under twilight, each piece is completed with a vintage frame and several are adored with a title face plate. On May 12th, Castor Gallery in NYC will be opening an exhibition of paintings and charcoal drawings by Kepa Garraza. The show titled Riot is inspired by civil unrest, uprising and rebellion.
