On May 28th, James Bullough will be unveiling new works for his solo at Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City. Entitled Breaking Point, the paintings represent four months of work for the Berlin-based artist and feature his signature glitchy fragmented aesthetic of portraiture (which you can see in the cropped images included in this article). The American artist further explains – “Although motion and distortion are the driving aesthetic forces in this body of work, thematically ‘Breaking Point’, as the name suggests, focuses on the moments in life, good or bad, that hit like a flash, break you down and rearrange your parts, when everything seems to change in an instant.”
