Openings: “FRENCH INVASION” @ Fabien Castanier Gallery

Several days ago, the Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles hosted a group show for a selection of French street artists appropriately entitled FRENCH INVASION. Featuring the likes of Speedy Graphito, JonOne, Nasty, Rero and Tilt, the space was filled with paintings, installations, silkscreens and sculpture from each artist. His Andrew Bird screenprint will be available at Friday, May 18th at “around” 2pm Central Time at Postersandtoys. Last Saturday evening, Shooting Gallery hosted the opening of Samuel Lowder aka Freprs’s exhibition entitled Time Machine. This ex-90’s graffiti artist has fully transitioned into creating pop art pieces incorporating layered stencils, with hidden details to be picked out when viewed closely. Time Machine takes the viewer back around 70 years with a cinematic feel with a colorful twist. Discuss Samuel Lower (Freprs) here.
