Preview: Tim Doyle – “UnReal Estate II” @ Spoke Art

Tomorrow night (February 7th), Spoke Art will again be the site of a solo show from Tim Doyle in San Francisco. The Austin-based illustrator and screen printer will once again be reprising his re-interpretations of famous TV show locations with a new body of work entitled UnReal Estate II (see part I from 2012 here). Preview: Hiro Kurata – “This Land Was Your Land” @ Ivory & Black

Preview: Ron English – “Crucial Fiction” @ Opera Gallery (New York)

Returning to the gallery that housed his massive solo in New York back in 2010, Ron English (featured) will be unveiling new works this week at the Opera Gallery. Previews: Yuanyuan Yang – “Refracted Beings” @ Fuse Gallery

Tomorrow night, New York’s Fuse Gallery will premiere a solo exhibition from Chinese artist Yuanyuan Yang. The show entitled Refracted Beings is a taken from the Chinese word for color which also is a homonym for lust. Yang renders her painting to display this strong relationship between color and desire in her characters through a spectrum of colors refracting from their bodies. The show runs from Oct 24th to Nov. 21st so stop by and check this exhibition if you’re in town.

Upcoming: Eriberto & Estevan Oriol – “Like Father, Like Son : NYC” @ Carmichael Gallery Popup

On November 8th, the Carmichael Gallery will be presenting Like Father, Like Son : NYC at a popup space in New York (6 to 8pm, 303 Tenth Ave in Chelsea).
