Previews: Kai-lan (Karen) Chau – “Inner Dialogue” @ Sloan Fine Art

Next week, Kai-Lan (Karen) Chau will be making her fine art debut with Sloan Fine Art. The creator of the Emmy nominated hit Ni Hao, Kai-Lan will be premiering a Superflat series of works named “Inner Dialogue” (teased). The body of work will includes canvases, fiberglass sculptures, and of course prints. Another cool note is that Karen will donate all the proceeds from one of her print edition to two charities. Come this weekend at ModoBrussels, Rotterdam based American artist Abner Preis will be debuting his latest work “The Super Hero Project”. Abner and various individuals will take to the streets done up as masked superheroes. By dressing the right way and utilizing the hidden facade of the “superhero”, the participants explore the freedom to be whomever they want to be. Whilst AM was in London last week, we bumped into Spanish artist and London resident Loreta Sáez Franco at the Frieze Art Fair.
