The 256 page book is a compilation of the work from when the gifted painter worked as the cover artist for the comic series Fables. French artist Bom.K, member of the infamous DMV crew, recently finished working on his first edition of Aérotik sculptures. These collectible figures are entirely handmade by the artist himself, from its conception, creation to packaging. These characters have been present in BomK’s work for years, as a result of the spray paint fumes, representing an alchemy between the curves of the female body and the cold technicality of the aerosol. On the 10th of February at 6pm, 1xRun.com opened the doors to their 3rd annual POW! WOW! Hawaii print show at the Fresh Cafe in Kaka’ako hand in hand with Pangeaseed’s presentation of their Sea Walls releases. Offering rare copies of recent releases by POW! WOW! Releases: Aron Wiesenfeld x Pressure Printing – “Vigil”

Later tomorrow, February 12th, Aron Wiesenfeld will be releasing a new print from Pressure Painting. Created in an edition of 45, Vigil is a diptych (16 x 22″) produced from original charcoal drawings from the San Diego-based artist and will be available at 9:00 AM MST for $350. VNA Magazine just announced the release info about their newest issue #29. With Cleon Petersen as their cover artist, they picked his hometown of LA to celebrate the launch. The event will be held at Subliminal Projects, this Valentines Day, Saturday Feb. 14th, between 6-9pm. This issue features an extensive report on Peterson and his violently bacchanalian work that echoes the brutality he sees in society. On February 5th (11 am GMT), Candice Tripp (interviewed) will be releasing a new print entitled I’m Coming Back Tomorrow To Look For More. Her first intaglio etching will be released in an edition of 25 through Black Rat Projects, come sized at 64.5 x 70 cm and cost £250.
