Camilla d’Errico Coastal.com Eyewear Collection

Coastal.com recently released an eyewear collection that Camilla d’Errico designed with Derek Cardigan. The four frames all feature tiny slivers of some of the Vancouver-based artist’s manga-influence imagery, specifically her paintings Xiomara, Water Wheel, Neo New York, and Loveless Bird (two minimalist palettes & two with vibrant and saturated colors). Building on the themes he first unveiled with an installation on the first and second floor of the Eiffel Tower back in November, Shepard Fairey (featured) opened a new solo last night at Galerie Itinerrance entitled Earth Crisis (more on this later). On July 1st, Brilliant Champion in Brooklyn will be presenting a collection of new tapestries from Erin M. Riley (interviewed), including some of her largest to date (up to as large as 8 x 8 feet). A couple of weeks ago, Sally Centigrade in Denver opened up a joint show from Kathie Olivas & Brandt Peters entitled Outer Limits. The husband and wife team presented a cluster of original works interspersed with various art toys as well as custom hand-painted items. Curated by Tilt, the second edition of the Rose Beton Festival in Toulouse (FR) paid tribute to the graffiti scene. The festival kicked off with an exhibition at Chateau d’Eau featuring the iconic photographs by Martha Cooper & Henry Chalfont (interviewed) as well as emerging photographer Sylvain Fargot. The Musee des Abattoirs is then taken over with installations by Boris Tellegen (covered), Mist, and Craig Costello while Tilt brought back his Voyage Retour car installation that he created during his recent residency at Jardin Rouge in Marrakech. On Saturday night (June 25th), Josh Keyes (interviewed) will be opening a joint show with Eva Funderburgh entitled Overgrown at Archimedes Gallery in Cannon Beach.
