Last weekend, Shepard Fairey (featured) graced his hometown with an expansive exhibition at a converted Chinatown warehouse (1650 Naud Street), his first showing in Los Angeles in nearly 10 years. Presented by Library Street Collective, Damaged featured over 200 artworks created since 2015 ranging in technique and medium. This Saturday night (November 11th) at a converted Chinatown warehouse in Los Angeles, Library Street Collective will be presenting the largest gallery show ever from Shepard Fairey (featured). Entitled Damaged, the infamous street artist’s first showing in his hometown in nearly 10 years and will open on the same day his new documentary (covered) premieres on Hulu. On Tuesday, November 7th, the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles (RSVP here) will be screening the new Shepard Fairey (featured) documentary OBEY GIANT. Coming up on November 11th, Library Street Collective will be transforming an industrial space in Los Angeles for Shepard Fairey (featured) to host his first large-scale show in his hometown in nearly 10 years. Billed as his largest ever solo, Damaged will feature over 200 works and takes it’s name from Black Flag’s 1981 album. Just this weekend, Printed Matters, a show from Shepard Fairey (featured) opened at Underdogs in Lisbon, a gallery co-founded by the locally-based Vhils (interviewed). Their collaboration didn’t end there as the American and Portuguese street artists combined their artistic vision for a joint mural featuring Shep’s iconic imagery and Vhils unique mark-making. Streets: Shepard Fairey (Seoul)

It looks like Shepard Fairey (featured) recently completed a new mural at the Seoul Arts Center in Korea featuring some of his signature imagery. Entitled Peace & Justice Seoul, the new piece was painted at the Hangaram Art Museum where the American graffiti artist currently has an exhibition with the same name on view thru the 30th. A couple days ago, Shepard Fairey (featured) wrapped up his latest large scale mural in Las Vegas, created for the Life is Beautiful festival and curated by Justkids. Entitled Cultivate Harmony, the 21 story high piece now graces the facade of the Plaza Hotel in downtown. Working in unusually cold and windy weather over the course of six days, Shep and his team hope the wall will “remind people that peace and harmony with each other and the planet itself are the only way to maintain what sustains us.” Photo credit: […]

Entitled Fruits Of Our Labor, the wall at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center features Shep’s distinctive imagery and satire.
