Galleria Patricia Armocida is currently showing the Italian debut show of young Brazilian artist Raphael Sagarra aka Finok. Sorrir e Chorar looks like his most accomplished exhibition to date, including various styles of works that show his seemingly endless creativity and diversity. Through his previous shows, the São Paulo-based artist was working with different mediums to blend his imagery with different familiar and mostly traditional objects. Videos: Pharrell Visits Takashi Murakami

As we mentioned a couple months ago, Takashi Murakami will be unveiling his first solo exhibition in Japan in over 14 years on October 31st. Friend and collaborator Pharrell Williams recently paid a visit to the Japanese artist in his studio as he was prepping for the show at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo entitled The 500 Arhats. As you will see in the footage below, the highlight of the show will definitely be the massive 100 meter long painting. Discuss Takashi Murakami here.

Baby Tattooville ’15: Art Jam

Every year at Baby Tattooville, one of the most intriguing and fun events is the continuously ongoing “Art Jam.” For 2015, participating artists Anthony Ausgang, Sas Christian, Olivia De Berardinis, Ron English, Camille Rose Garcia, Bosko Hrnjak, Marion Peck, KRK Ryden, Mark Ryden, and Isabel Samaras decided to go with a black, white, and gray palette to create a surreal collaborative masterpiece. This will then be reproduced as a print overnight by Prints On Wood so that attendees can take a copy home with them. Discuss this year’s Baby Tattooville here.

Baby Tattooville ’15: Secret Store

Always one of the things attendees look forward to, Baby Tattooville’s Secret Store opened last night at 9pm sharp. Prints, originals, publications, and other art products from this year’s participating artists (Anthony Ausgang, Sas Christian, Olivia De Berardinis, Ron English, Camille Rose Garcia, Bosko Hrnjak, Marion Peck, KRK Ryden, Mark Ryden, and Isabel Samaras) were made available to each customer in the order of their specific numbers, with the people with most seniority having first dibs on purchases. Streets: DEIH / Wall Poetry (Reykjavic)

Last week, Urban Nation curated an event in Reykjavic in association with the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival where participants were paired with an audio artist who provided the visual artist with a song, a title, a poem, a quote or a book that greatly influenced their work.
