UK artist Nick Walker (interviewed) is currently showing a new body of work entitled Vicious Beauty at Galerie Brugier-Rigail in Paris. Running until April 4th, the British artist’s first solo exhibition in the French capital features his signature Vandal character and little girls with balaclava in various situations as well as hints of new directions he will be further exploring. New week, James Jean (interviewed) will be offering up another beauty of a print on his online webstore. Entitled Horse IV, the timed release will be available 24 hours starting at 8:00 AM PDT on Tuesday, March 31st and ending at 7:59 AM PDT on April the 1st with edition size determined by the demand. According to the photos and info we received from Paris, the opening of Julien Malland aka Seth Globepainter’s solo show Walking on a Dream at Itinerrance Gallery on March 20th was a huge success. Known in his homeland both as an artist but also as a TV host of the popular show Les Nouveaux Explorateurs (The New Explorers), the Paris-based artist has a huge following that wanted to witness his artwork in person especially since he doesn’t do gallery shows that often. On March 28th, Thinkspace will be hosting a new solo from painter Erik Jones entitled Color | Full. As evidenced by his previous works, the NYC-based artist likes to combine his portraiture with graphic patterning, color blocking, and linear elements but this latest showing will take things a bit further. Along with some paintings created in the classic Jones style, there are also more exploratory pieces where he has delineated different planes in his imagery by bringing a sculptural aspect or dimensionality to his work.
