Pejac (introduced) recently visited Paris and left a several new pieces scattered around the city. We just got these images of the last three pieces he did there, and even though quite different in their concept and style, they are examples of his wittiness and talent. Using just a basic color palette (mostly black and white) with minimal intervention onthe surface he is painting on, the Spanish artist achieves strong pieces both aesthetically and conceptually. On September 6th, Feinkunst Krüger will be opening an exhibition from Heiko Müller, his first solo with the Hamburg gallery since he started showing with them in 2003. Glades will feature the German artist’s nature-infused paintings, a byproduct his inspiration for art always originating from his times spent in the mountains and forests. After sharing photos with you earlier this week from Tomokazu Matsuyama’s (interviewed) current showcase at Harbour City in Hong Kong, we now have word of what comes next at the Tsim Sha Tsui hotspot. On October 2nd, the Hellion Gallery in Portland will be presenting new works from Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed) tentatively entitled rainy day with a chance of sun. Like his recent showing in Los Angeles (covered), the new whimsical body of work will consist of paintings, clusters of smaller works, and his hand-crafted wooden sculptures. Mecka NYC is introducing an interesting project titled INSIDE/OUT, a unique, new event that will merge an exhibition, social media hunt, and fund raising event for Swoon’s (interviewed) ongoing Braddock Tiles event.
