Openings: T&J Art Walk Charity Exhibition

As mentioned in our previous look at the streets of Oslo, the T&J Art Walk took the art work indoors for an impressive charity exhibition that opened this past weekend. With sale proceeds benefiting the Human Rights Watch’s (HRW) work, Streets artists such as Faile, Shepard Fairey, Logan Hicks, D*Face, The London Police, Will Barras, Flying Fortress and more; donated their fine art for a great cause. It’s time to summarize the remaining murals for the T&J Art Walk now after bringing you the walls from Faile, Shepard Fairey, D*Face, and Logan Hicks previously. Streets: ROA (Copenhagen)

After recent visits by Shepard Fairey (covered) and COPE2 (covered), another artist heads over to make his mark in Copenhagen – ROA.  The Belgium-based artist was in town for the Galore Festival taking place in the the cultural zone of Toftegårds place in Valby. For his part, the prolific street artist decided to wrap what looks like a scaled serpent painted in his distinctive anatomic style around a tower. Openings: COPE2 – “World’s Famous Bubble!” @ Halvandet

Just last weekend, legendary Bronx writer COPE2 paid a visit to Copenhagen for the opening of his show at Halvandet. Not only did he bring a plethora of variations of his famous bubble tag, he also worked in an outdoor mural for his fans and was sighted at the Shepard Fairey show. Streets: COPE2 (Copenhagen)

Copenhagen has been a pretty popular destination for international artists recently. After only recently been gifted multiple murals from Shepard Fairey’s (featured), who was in town for his solo show (covered), renowned graffiti king COPE2 arrived to paint his famous “bubble” tags on an adjacent wall next to one of Shep’s pieces. Openings: MS Fundraiser for Tim Strazza @ Joshua Liner Gallery

We all hit bumps in the road, but with a little help we can all overcome any obstacles. As mentioned previously, a good friend of AM and assistant director of Joshua Liner Gallery, Tim Strazza, was unfortunately diagnosed with a Multiple Sclerosis. We helped sponsor a fundraiser created by the gallery to generate funds that went to support Tim and his medical bills. Video: “Art in the Streets” @ MOCA

The historic Art in the Streets exhibition is drawing to a close soon with the last day scheduled for August 8th. For street art and graffiti fans out there who haven’t made the trek over to the MOCA yet, make sure you put it on your to do list as you will regret not visiting.
