Chinese artist DALeast (interviewed), was back in Rochester, NY, last week. Almost exactly one year since last time he visited the city (covered), he once again left a recognizable mural for the Wall Therapy festival. Polish artists Sainer and Bezt, better known as Etam Cru, recently painted another fantastic mural on the streets of Richmond, for the local Richmond Mural Project. Robot and donut enthusiast Eric Joyner (interviewed) will be opening a solo show at Corey Helford Gallery on August 10th, his fifth with the Culver City showspace. Unlike his last show (covered) which featured his old school mechanical characters in the natural setting, the new paintings depict them in the city along with their dependable fried dessert friends. Rife with irony, First World Problems will see his robots dealing with the “struggles” of urban coexistence. Discuss Eric Joyner here.

Baltimore based artist and muralist, Gaia, is very busy this summer traveling and painting murals. After finishing a couple of walls in Montreal, he recently visited Rochester for the Wall Therapy project, Richmond for the Richmond Mural project, and Baltimore for the Wall Hunters project.
