As anticipated, the highly praised “Stages” exhibition made it’s US debut yesterday in a beautiful pop-up space hosted by Deitch Projects in New York’s Soho district. As we mentioned when the show debuted in Paris (covered), “Stages” is a traveling exhibition curated by Nike and Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong Foundation to elevate awarenessÂ of theÂ fight against cancer with some of the art world’s most influential artists. Brendan Monroe returns to Los Angeles this weekend after recently moving to Sweden. The word is there will be a huge wall installation described as a portable mural and another installation featuring an array of hanging wood sculptures. The notion of a slew of Monroe wood sculptures up for grabs has us here at AM very excited.
