Between the 12-15th of June, Montreal became a mural mecca of the world for a few days. Hosting a great lineup of street art names, the city got culturally richer with the creation of some beautiful large murals that were painted during Mural Festival 2014. Time for another one of our Streets: World Roundup articles. This new edition features up top a new collaboration wall from SABER (interviewed) and ZES at the Artist & Craftsman Supply building in Los Angeles. The two local and MSK affiliated writers combined their styles for an impressive wrap on the side of the structure. Openings: “Space//Squared” @ White Walls Gallery

Last month, White Walls Gallery in San Francisco opened a group exhibition entitled Space//Squared. Curated by Sven Davis, the showing was a followup to an event last year in Portland (covered). This time around, participating artists were again asked to contribute artwork in a 10 x 10″ format. Continuing his ongoing project entitled Nomadic Experiment, 2501 recently visited the Tuscany region in Italy, where he created some new, interesting public pieces. The idea of this project is to combine painting, sculpture, video and other forms, in order to push boundaries of creative activity. Recently, we received final photos & video footage of an independent project that took place in Wynwood, Miami, during Art Basel Week last year. Initiated by the artists 2501 and Pastel, the Mirrorless project involves three crucial subjects – artist, home and people, that are actually the key elements of works through their interaction with the elements of the installation. During Art Basel Week in Miami the Yo <3 305 Gallery in Wynwood brought together the work of seven muralists from around the world for a Fordistas collective exhibition entitled The Art of Collaboration: Friends and Family. Tag and Juice Gallery in Sao Paulo, Brazil, recently opened Preto e Branco (Black and White), a show by 2501 (Jacopo Ceccarelli) and Ozmo (Gionata Gesi) from Italy.
