Earlier this month, Chandran Gallery in San Francisco opened a show curated by Andrew Schoultz entitled Major Work. The locally-based artist carefully selected a roster of participants that included himself, Alicia McCarthy, Aaron Noble, Kelsey Brookes, Revok, James Marshall (Dalek), Sam Friedman, Eric Yahnker, Mark Dean Veca, Saber, Hilary Pecis, Tim Biskup, Eric White, and Allison Schulnik. Last Saturday night saw the grand opening of San Francisco’s newest and very highly anticipated art space, Guerrero Gallery (previewed). Founded by Andres Guerrero, artist (covered) and former partner/owner of White Walls, Guerrero Gallery is looking to break new and exciting ground in the Mission district and judging by opening, is off to a great start.
