Continuing with our coverage of Shepard Fairey’s pending trip to DC, we now have the images that will be exhibited at the Regime Change Starts at Home show at the Irvine Contemporary Gallery.Â Shepard will have 9 new paintings and collage on paper pieces for the exhibition.Â Included is the LAST of three unique hand stenciled collaged portraits of Barack Obama’s campaign icon: “Hope”. Obey Rose Girl print @ Irvine Contemporary

In conjunction with their upcoming show Regime Change Starts at Home, featuring Shepard Fairey, Al Farrow and Paul D. Miller, DC’s Irvine Contemporary Gallery will be releasing a new Obey silkscreen print entitled Rose Girl. The print will be an edition of 450 and will be available for $100 only in-person at the gallery. The exhibition opens October 18th.

Influential street artist Shepard FaireyÂ has been aÂ cornerstone of the US urban art scene for more than a decade, but his influence trancended mere street artÂ after he created an image of Barack ObamaÂ so powerful, that it became the image that symbolized Obama’s presidential campaign.
