Sure to rile up true street art fans everywhere, the CONTEXT Art Miami fair has gone ahead and approved the display of works purported to be pieces from Banksy (no Pest Control authentication obviously) taken from around the world (Israel, England, Los Angeles and San Francisco). Arranged by gallerist Stephan Keszler of Southampton, the works are placed strategically throughout the complex of tents, perhaps used by the fair to garner attention as it is a new offshoot of Art Miami. Currently showing at Lazarides’ main location (Rathbone Place) is a group exhibition that will give fans an idea of what kind of shows are planned through 2013 with the gallery. Along with some vintage Banksy works, on display were also some sublime paintings form Conor Harrington, new work from Faile with a slight twist, a piece from newcomer Know Hope and more (full list here). With the Summer Olympics opening this Friday, it was only a matter of time before Banksy put his thoughts on the event out there. Two new images (unknown locations as of yet but presumably in London) were just uploaded to Mr. B’s website – one showing a missile substituted in for the javelin throw and the other stencil placed perfectly next to a a barb wire fence featuring the pole vault. On the 3rd of July, Dreweatts London will be hosting their Urban and Contemporary sale. The auction presents some pieces from a strong mix of urban and contemporary artists including Banksy, Nick Walker, Paul Insect, Adam Neate, and Damien Hirst. Rewind: May 21 – May 27

Currently showing at Fondation Beyeler is the first exhibition ever devoted by a Swiss museum to American artist Jeff Koons. The show runs until September 2, 2012 and features a focus on three bodies of works: The New, Banality, and Celebration.
