Releases: BNE x Banksy (Artists 4 Water)

After recently releasing limited edition t-shirts in collaboration with Space Invader, Faile and Shepard Fairey, BNE is continuing the Artists 4 Water effort with another major artist. On World Water Day, Saturday, March 22 at 12 Noon PST, there will apparently be a collaborative release from Banksy (although no official confirmation yet) on BNE.org. Elusive British artist Banksy is back in the spotlight again with another worthy cause. After recently donating the original Heart Balloon for charity, and raising $650,000 for Haiti (covered), Bristol’s most popular man of mystery is at it again by contributing to #WithSyria project. Upcoming: “Cat Art Show” @ 101/Exhibit

On Saturday, January 25th, the newly located 101/Exhibit will be opening a Cat Art Show in Los Angeles with a portion of the proceeds will benefit Stray Cat Alliance. The roster features an interesting mix of  artists including Antony Micallef, Clayton Brothers, FAILE, Gary Baseman, Jonathan Yeo, Justin Bower, Kevin E. Openings: “Unpredictable Gravity” @ Roq La Rue

Last week, a group show to benefit cancer charities opened up at the Roq La Rue gallery in Seattle entitled Unpredictable Gravity. Raising over 20K so far, the success of the show is due in no small part to the efforts of curator Robbie Lowery and the stellar contributions from the artists. Releases / Benefits: Camille Rose Garcia – “I Will Be There When You Fall” Print

Camille Rose Garcia (interviewed) recently released a new limited edition through Roq La Rue to partially benefit Bat Conservation International. Fitting in perfectly with her recent imagery featuring the winged creature, I Will Be Here When You Fall will be produced in a run of 100, be sized at 9″ x 12″, and cost $250 with $130 of each print going to the conservation efforts. Swoon Braddock Tiles Project

Street artist and humanitarian  Swoon (interviewed) has recently announced a new project she is working on in North Braddock, Pennsylvania. Entitled Braddock Tiles, the venture will take place in an abandoned church which will eventually become an art-making hub in the blighted area. Their first order of business is hand-making 20,000 ceramic tiles to restore the roof of the historic building.
