Continuing to share his “fight club” imagery with the public, Conor Harrington (interviewed) recently completed a new mural for Street Art Doping in Warsaw. Painted over several days, the fresh piece features some of the Irish artist’s recognizable colonial figures getting ready for some one-on-one fisticuffs. Other artists slated to make their mark in the Polish capital include 1010, Ernest Zacharevic, 108, and CT. Discuss Conor Harrington here.

The 5th show on Søren Solkær‘s Surface world tour opened on June 12th at Øksnehallen in central Copenhagen. The exhibition itself features 122 portraits of some of world’s most famous street artists, who were all featured in his recent book Surface (covered). To celebrate this big event, the Danish photographer invited six international and esteemed artists to create large-scale murals in the streets of Copenhagen. Releases: Conor Harrington – “Samson’s Nostalgia Trap” Print

Following up on the amazing new imagery revealed in a recent popup show in New York (covered), Conor Harrington (interviewed) will be releasing the Samson’s Nostalgia Trap print soon. Sized at 74 cm x 100 cm with a total edition of 200, it will come signed & numbered and cost £250 (inc VAT). In between setting up for his popup show in New York (more on this later), Conor Harrington (interviewed) took advantage of the hospitality from the L.I.S.A. Project to leave a mark on the streets of the Big Apple (Broome & Lafayette Street). After sharing the first mural with you here, we now have shots of the second piece he was able to work on. While in town for his popup show in New York (more on this later), Conor Harrington (interviewed) made sure to leave his mark on the streets for his fans. One of the murals he worked on was for the L.I.S.A. Project on Rivington and Suffolk and featured one of his colonial style characters painted in his combined loose and photorealistic style. After an in studio look and associated print release, we now have more glimpses of the new imagery Conor Harrington (interviewed) has been working on for his upcoming New York solo. The peek comes courtesy of a new trailer for a documentary put together by long time collaborator Andrew Telling which recreates the narrative running through Eat And Delete as it gives a behind the scenes look at the elaborate photoshoots the UK-based artist uses for his reference. Tomorrow, September 17th, at 16:00 BST, Conor Harrington (interviewed) will be releasing a new print through The Outsiders. Entitled Unveiling, the new image is taken from a new painting for his popup show opening on September 27th in New York at a still undisclosed location. Update: Conor Harrington

It looks like the Lazarides Gallery recently stopped by Conor Harrington’s (interviewed) studio to check in on the UK-based painter. What they saw was some amazing new works in progress for his upcoming debut show in New York later this year, presumably a pop up put on by the London-based gallery. Entitled Eat and Delete, the exhibition will include 10-12 large canvases that continues where the Irish artist’s Dead Meat show in London (covered) left off.
