Previews: Erik Parker – “Undertow” @ Paul Kasmin Gallery

Tonight at the 297 Tenth Avenue location of Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York, Erik Parker’s exhibition entitled Undertow will be open its doors to the public. For his third solo with the Chelsea showspace, the locally based artist has prepared works rendered with a highly saturated palette that continue to explore the world’s current political, social, and economic landscapes. As you can see from the preview images below, he will also be introducing some shaped canvases that add an extra narrative to his imagery.

Basel Week Miami ’15 / Recap: Untitled

Another strong satellite fair seen during this year’s Basel Week Miami was certainly Untitled. Releases: Maya Hayuk x Max Mara – “Optiprism” Eyewear

For the Autumn/Winter 2015 season, Max Mara has collaborated with artist Maya Hayuk on three different styles of sunglasses featuring a pattern she has dubbed Optiprism. The multicolored rainbow graphics utilized for this project mirror the works from the New York-based artist that fit well both in the gallery as well as on the streets.
