Jeff Soto dropped a teaser image of his studio that shows some work for his upcoming solo show “Turning in Circles” at the Riverside Art Museum. We are sure his first museum show will be epic. Josh Keyes posted a stunning new image up today from his upcoming show “Mist” at OKOK gallery next month. We really love the multiple levels of interactions in this piece. From the water-fire hydrant association to the predator-prey relationships of the eagle-rabbit & bear-fish, there certainly is much to think about. Openings: Masakatsu Sashie @ Giant Robot 2

Masakatsu Sashie‘s show “Under Fluorescent Light” opened last Saturday at GR2 on the west side. As usual, his detailed spheres encompassing urban elements (buildings, vending machines, air conditioners, television sets) were quite eye-catching. It’s as if his so-called “orb paintings” shrunk the ingredients of city living into a compact package for consumption. Another interesting item for sale was this model kit of one of his “orb paintings” that was for sale. Limited 50 pieces and nicely priced at $100, these must have sold out. Hopefully […]
