AM recently attended the opening for Greg Lamarche’s solo exhibition at the Joshua Liner Gallery. Entitled Timeless, this show brought together numerous elements of Greg’s style of deconstructing and reassembling text and graphics into a new visual language. Last week, Brett Amory’s latest effort, Twenty-Four in San Francisco, was put on display at Sandra Lee Gallery located in San Francisco’s Union Square (see the studio preview here). The show contained 24 paintings, each capturing a moment from a different location from a different hour of the day. After simultaneous showings back in May at Team Gallery locations in New York (covered here & here), Ryan McGinley traveled to Japan for a solo at the Tomio Koyama Gallery. The exhibition entitled Reach Out, I’m Right Here (which recently closed), featured more of McGinley’s luminous photographs featuring his work with models interacting with nature as well as live animals from various sanctuaries, zoos, and rescue establishments across the United States.
