Last Friday evening at FFDG marked the opening of Dave Kinsey’s first solo show in San Francisco in over a decade (previewed). This longtime Los Angeles artist recently moved away from the city, to a much quieter town near the Sequoia National Forrest and has created a body of work that has become more abstract, but still incorporates his recognizable figurative characters. This Friday, May 18th, is the opening date for Lost For Words, the newest body of work from Dave Kinsey (featured). PULSE Los Angeles ’11: Joshua Liner Gallery

After giving you an overview of the inaugural PULSE Los Angeles fair earlier in the week, we now focus in on a couple of the individual booths. First up is New York’s Joshua Liner Gallery, who was mainly representing Kris Kuksi and his intricate assemblages, Greg Lamarche (interviewed) who worked on a mural for the event, and Dave Kinsey who also painted an impressive wall at the Standard while in town.
