Even though he arrived a few days later than planned and the tropical weather wasn’t on his side, he managed to finish this huge mural after two long days of painting. Being especially intrigued by the shrine like shape of the wall, his piece is inspired by the constant battle between civilization and nature of Hawaii. The majestic tree in the middle of […]

Over a week ago, Dave Kinsey opened up his solo show, Black and White (previewed), at Fecal Face Dot Gallery. The show featured a series of affordable 8″ x 10″ paintings on chipboard, as well painted wooden sculptures and works on canvas. Many of the works were named after people who had made significant contributions to San Francisco’s past. Experience the show vicariously through the photos posted below, as the exhibition ran a short and sweet life (three days). Discuss Dave Kinsey here.
We recently got a peek at the new body of work that Dave Kinsey has been working on for his upcoming solo show at The Trace Gallery in Zurich, Switzerland. After working with Absolut Vodka on their limited bottle design, having his art reproduced on the Californian Kenwood Vineyard label, and being named as one of the 100 most influential artists by Complex magazine, Kinsey is focused on his 2 shows for the year. This one, and a special pop-up solo show at FFDG in San Francisco on […]
