Openings: “The Rejects” @ Reed Projects Gallery

Last weekend in Norway, the inaugural show at Reed Projects Gallery, The Rejects, opened featuring work from Vhils, Roa, Escif, Dolk, Evol, Dan Witz and Brad Downey. The new showspace is the brainchild of the same people behind the annual Nuart Festival in Stavenger and presumably will now become the indoor gallery of those artists involved. Openings: EVOL – “Repeat Offender” @ Jonathan LeVine

Last week, German artist EVOL launched a show entitled Repeat Offender at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. The Berlin based artist’s intricate stencils are often layered on found mediums such as cardboard and metal to create mesmerizing cityscapes and unique urban compositions. In addition to these, we also caught a rare series of photographs depicting his 2009 project at the Caspar David Friedrich Stadt, an installation in a former slaughterhouse in Dresden, Germany. Openings: Evol & Teal – “Femme Fatale” @ Buckwild Gallery

Earlier this month, the Buckwild Gallery brought 7th letter member EVOL and Fame City writer TEAL together for a special event highlighting their different styles and their own brand of art. Following his recent installation in London Smithfield market (covered here), German artist EVOL and a full supporting cast of artists took over Pictures on Walls for the Christmas show with installations, sculptures, books and limited edition prints. Other featured artists include Banksy, Barminski, Dran, Tilt, James Cauty, Paul Insect, Wayne White, Might Mo, Todd James, Invader, Cept, Jerome Miller, Pacolli, Victor Van Gaasbeek, Zach Schrey and more. Hitting up London ahead of his showing at Pictures On Walls on December 1st, German artist EVOL installed some his distinctive work at Smithfield Market.
