Liu Bolin – United Nations Global Goals Campaign

Last week, Liu Bolin unveiled a new project he has been working on with the United Nations for the Global Goals Campaign. Upcoming: Stella Im Hultberg – “Stranger” @ Spoke Art

On October 1st, Stella Im Hultberg (interviewed) will be opening her first solo show in four years at Spoke Art in San Francisco. Entitled Stranger, the new selection of paintings continues the current uplifting direction of her work and promises to feature her female subjects surrounding by a lot of flowers. Showing: KAWS – “Clean Slate” @ LA NAVE (Ibiza)

Currently in Ibiza, some works from KAWS are on display at LA NAVE, a new 8,000 sq. ft. exhibition space on the island launched by New York-based gallerist and art collector Lio Malca. Anchored by the seven-metre-tall Clean Slate companion sculpture, the exhibition also includes some originals and prints on display in the transformed old salt warehouse overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Streets: Invader (Paris) – Summer 2015

After an update in July, on top of that now a recap what Invader has been up in his home city of Paris during the summer months. NuArt ’15 / Streets: Ella & Pitr – “Lilith & Olaf”

One of the highlights of this year’s NuArt Festival is the completion of what is billed as the world’s largest outdoor mural in Klepp, just outside of Stavanger. Created by French artists Ella & Pitr along with a crew of some 30 volunteers, the 21,000 square meter mural was completed before the festival officially started. Recap / Streets: UpNorth Festival (Norway)

After highlighting a mural from Deih for the UpNorth Festival in the small village of Sulitjelma in Northern Norway, we now have a recap of the entire event for you. The festival was curated and organized by anonymous Norwegian artist Stein together with Trond Solstad and also featured the work of Borondo (seen above), Sabek, M-City, DotDotDot, StayOne and Stein. Openings: Dan Quintana – “Diffused” @ Hashimoto Contemporary

Over the weekend, Hashimoto Contemporary in San Francisco hosted the opening of Dan Quintana’s lastest solo show. Entitled Diffused, the exhibition featured a dozen new oil paintings and several charcoal drawings on paper from the Los-Angeles based artist centered mainly around his ghostly portraiture, beautiful female characters surrounded by an aura of abstract elements. Openings: Cleon Peterson – “Poison” @ Library Street Collective

Over the weekend, the Library Street Collective hosted the opening for a new show from Cleon Peterson in Detroit. Poison features new paintings featuring nightmarish scenes of violence and gore, nothing new to fans of the former assistant to Shepard Fairey.
