Streets: JR Mural on Bowery & Houston

Streets: Faile (Los Angeles)

Faile (featured), the Brooklyn-based artist collective, have revealed new work on the streets just a few blocks away (Gjelina Restaurant) from the Post No Bills Gallery in Venice, California where they are exhibiting a collection of work detailing their artistic careers (show photos to follow). The wall was covered in the salon style that has been seen in some of their recent street work and also featured a sprinkling of co-conspirator Bast’s imagery. More photos after the jump…

Streets: Phlegm (Sheffield)

Prolific street artist Phlegm continues to his assault on derelict walls in Sheffield. After taking a break to hit up London, the UK-based artist struck closer to home with this complex piece although we aren’t sure how zombies got involved. Streets: Claudio Ethos (Sao Paulo)

After getting a massive mural up in Los Angeles, it looks like Claudio Ethos has returned home to Brazil. The Sao Paolo-based street surrealist recently posted up a couple of presumably new pieces he did in his native city on his blog before heading over to the CityLeaks Festival. After his team effort with compatriot Ericailcane in Fabriano, Italy, the fast moving Blu has moved on to and completed the new mural we told you about in Germany. Wouldn’t we all like to chop off the Medusa head of rising gasoline prices? This wall was painted in Cologne as part of the Cityleaks Urban Art Festival which also includes involvement from Alexandros Vasmoulakis, Claudio Ethos, Faith47, Escif, Herbert Baglione, Roa, Sam3, Lucy McLauchlan and Will Barras among others. Last time Ron English was prepping for a show in the UK, he invited us over for a visit in his New Jersey based studio. Fast forward a few years, he’s moved into a large house in suburb of Beacon, New York. Reprising teamwork that has become familiar to street art fans everyone, Blu and Ericailcane hit up the R.I.P.Arte Festival in Fabriano, Italy recently with these two side-by-side pieces.
