Vivian Maier Documentary Opens in Los Angeles

Friday and Saturday night (March 28th & 29th), the LANDMARK in Los Angeles will be hosting the opening of Finding Vivian Maier. The documentary detailing the intriguing story of the discovery of the gifted photographer’s talent and work only after her death may be of interest to those who attended shows of her photos in 2013 & 2012 at the Merry Karnowsky Gallery. Streets: ESPO (Copenhagen) – Part 1

It looks like ESPO (featured) is back in Copenhagen (see 2011) for an artist talk and the European premiere of his documentary film A Love Letter For You. Along with this event presented by V1 Gallery and held at (Kunsthal Charlottenborg. Nyhavn 2. Copenhagen K – Denmark) on November 5th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Steve Powers is also in town to paint a new large-scale mural in front of the U.S. Embassy. Screenings: Invader – “Art4Space” (New York)

Tomorrow night (October 29), the French street bomber known as Invader & Jonathan LeVine Gallery will be premiering a special screening of ART4SPACE (covered) for fans in New York City. Openings: JR – “Inside Out: The People’s Art Project @ Tribeca Film Festival

Just this Saturday, AM joined JR (interviewed) and his crew at the renowned Tribeca Film Festival for the world premiere of Inside Out: The People’s Art Project in NYC. After the French “photograffeur” won the prestigious TED Prize and pledged his awarded funds to “turn the world INSIDE OUT”, he did just that in the two years since receiving the coveted accolade. Films: “OBEY THE GIANT” – The Story of Shepard Fairey

Last year, we shared a project with you that was asking for funding on kickstarter – the first narrative film based on the story of Shepard Fairey. As some of you may know (or even supported), the money raiser was fully funded – and now, the finished movie has been released online on the official website. For those Lord of the Rings fans out there, tomorrow (January 24th) at a random time, Mike Sutfin will be releasing a new print entitled Servants of Sauron through Mondo.
