Leading things off on this edition of our Streets: World Roundup is this new mural from Vhils (via Hookedblog) for the Phytology Project. The wall is situated on a side street just off Bethnal Green Road (the station end) in the Bethnal Green Nature Reserve and is part of a series of year-long artist commissions taking place in the reserve. After revealing a new piece last month with strong placement from Invader in Paris, our Streets World Roundup feature returns with another piece playing with some nostalgic characters from childhood for most of us. This week’s look at public art around the world is headlined by this new piece (source) from Case (aka Andreas von Chrzanowski) in Frankfurt, Germany. Painted at the construction site for the future European Central Bank headquarters, the MaClaim crew member painted Pinnochio being manipulated by a pair of hands, making some sort of political statement. It’s time for another roundup of the new walls this week here on AM. Although not exactly immediately recent, this mural from Mesa in particular caught our eye.
