As Frieze Art Fair drew to a close last Sunday, featuring over 170 of the most exciting contemporary art galleries in the world, we have picked up some of our favorite in no particular order: Mary and Child sculpture entitled the Milk of Human Weakness by Jake and Dinos Chapman (previously covered) at White Cube Gallery. London’s Frieze week kicked off properly on Wednesday 12 October with the preview for Frieze Art Fair in Regent’s Park. AM has long been a Frieze enthusiast. The recent opening of a third gallery space in London confirms White Cube ongoing strength, and its presence at the Frieze Art Fair is nothing less than spectacular. The booth features some impressive works by the gallery’s roster of artists such as Jake and Dinos Chapman, Marc Quinn, Damien Hirst, Andreas Gursky, and Tracey Emin to name a few. Alison Jacques Gallery returns to the Frieze Art Fair this year and its booth features some amazing works by the gallery’s impressive roster of artists. Highlights include new large photographic pieces by Ryan McGinley (also see Team Gallery booth), which will be shown alongside works by the London gallery’s roster of artists, such as Robert Mapplethorpe, Lygia Clark, and Thomas Zipp. Make this booth a destination if you are visiting the fair. Running from Thursday, October 13th to Sunday, October 16th over in London, Frieze 2011 is primed to kick back into action next week in Regent’s Park.
