Arrested Motion was on hand for the Saturday, November 8th opening of “Momentum”, the three person show featuring Mars-1, Oliver Vernon and Damon Soule at Space Gallery in Denver, Colorado. The highlight of the exhibition was a 10′ by 23′ piece that was a collaboration of all three artists (called The Furtherrr Collective when assembled), a piece so large and powerful in texture, color, and size that it feels as if a riff has opened up and the wall has become a worm hole into […]

The cosmic musings of Mars-1, organic patterns of Soule, and the chaotic abstractions from Vernon fuse and meld so well together, it is sometimes hard to differentiate where one artist’s vision starts and […]
Apparently, the staff at AM were not the only ones squinting their eyes trying to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse several days ago. Members of the Furtherrr Collective, Mars-1, Damon Soule, and Oliver Vernon, who only recently collaborated on a large mural in Arizona (covered) got together for round two – this time welcoming another painter in the crew to participate as well – David Choong Lee. Not new to mind-blowing collaborations (see 2010), three members of the Furtherrr Collective got together for another mural in Arizona. Painted at the Flagstaff Brewing Company, friends Mars-1, Oliver Vernon, and Damon Soule each added their ingredients to the organic brew resulting in a vibrant, kinetic, and large piece for the public to enjoy. Here’s hoping they get together for more projects in the future. Photos via Mars-1 & Furtherrr Collective’s Facebook. Discuss Mars-1 here. Discuss Damon Soule here.
